This page explains what happens to the information you give us when you enquire about dog training or behaviour work. It is written by us, the business, and is kept deliberately plain. If anything here is unclear, email info@glasgowdogtrainer.co.uk and ask.
Who we are
Glasgow Dog Trainer and Behaviour Consultant, operating across Glasgow and the surrounding local authorities in Scotland. Contact: 07790 608841 or info@glasgowdogtrainer.co.uk. We are the data controller for information you send us.
What information we collect
- Details you submit through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, your location or area, and what you tell us about your dog.
- Information you give us by phone, email, WhatsApp or social media message, including behaviour history and any veterinary background you choose to share.
- Case notes and written plans we produce while working with you, kept so we can support you across sessions.
We do not ask for payment card details through this website. We do not knowingly collect information about children.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and assess whether we can help, our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made.
- To deliver training and behaviour services you book, including written plans and follow up. Performance of our contract with you.
- To keep records for insurance, professional and, where relevant, legal or expert witness purposes. Our legal obligations and legitimate interests.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists from an enquiry alone.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary to run the service: our website and enquiry-handling providers, our customer relationship management system, email and messaging providers, and our insurers or professional advisers where a claim or legal matter requires it. Where a case involves your vet or a legal instruction, we share information only with your knowledge or where we are legally required to do so.
Cookies, maps and embedded content
This site uses only the technical cookies needed for pages to work correctly. Our contact page embeds a Google Map, and our course links point to third-party platforms (Thinkific and Skool). When you load or follow those, the relevant provider may set its own cookies and receive technical data such as your IP address under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer of use. Client records and case notes are kept for as long as we may need them for insurance, professional or legal reasons, and then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@glasgowdogtrainer.co.uk and we will respond. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
